Kontest is a webservice edited by the company Krash Studio.
This is an automated platform to create and manage your contests on Facebook, web and mobile. You can launch a contest within a few minutes.

▶ Browsers compatibility
Kontest is fully compatible with the following browers:
The platform: Internet Explorer 9 and further, Safari, Chrome, Firefox.
Contests (once installed and launched): Internet Explorer 7 et further, Safari, Chrome, Firefox.
We are not responsible for any bugs that would occur in case your browser is not updated or not standards-compliant. Please keep your browser updated.
▶ Kontest complies with the promotions guidelines of Facebook
The Kontest team is constantly watching the Promotions Guidelines of Facebook and keep the users informed about any change. Moreover, Kontest applications are always updated to comply with these guidelines.
▶ The white label
This feature is only available on the Premium plan.
With the white label option, your competition is completely branded: Kontest’s logo doesn’t appear and you become the sole owner of the participants database.
On the platform you will need to complete 3 more fields: name of the client, email of the client which will be displayed on the contest's footer, and privacy policy of the client displayed as well on the contest's footer (most of the time it is a page of the client's website explaining what he does with personal data).
▶ The invoicing
Kontest is a free-to-use platform: you can create as many competitions as you like, there are no limits.
Invoicing occurs only when you want to launch you contest. Once you paid the invoice, you are able to install your contest on Facebook, web or mobile phones and it will start automatically on the date and time set on the platform.
Pricing on the website and the platform are for 1 contest launched all-inclusive (without options).
The Start plan is free: you can create and launch your contest for free. Only the download of the database of participants is charged.
▶ Upgrading your plan
You can upgrade you contest plan anytime, it gives you access to more incredible features. However, you can't downgrade your plan, for that you need to create a new contest with the plan you want.
▶ The maximum duration of a contest
You can launch a contest with a maximum duration of 60 days (30 days extendible for 30 days). After that you need to launch a new contest.
You can extend the duration of your contest even if it is already launched except in the case of an Instant Win. To do it, go on the Kontest admin page and click on "Extend the contest".

▶ Fan-gating your contest
This feature is available for all our plans except the Start plan. Facebook lets you ask people to be fan of your page before getting access to a specific application. With Kontest, people need to click on "Like" before seeing the "Participate" button appearing. They will see a banner at the top of the contest asking them to be fan of the page in order to enter the promotion. The fan-gating is only possible on Facebook, that means people don't need to be fan of your page if they enter a contest installed on your website or reached with a mobile phone.
▶ Contest hosting
The hosting of your contests is included in all our plans. We host all of your contests in the cloud to allow an easy installation on every channels, a smooth and fast loading of the medias and an optimal management of the scalability of the servers. We use the Amazon S3 service, known for its reliability, to securely store data online.
▶ Multi-channel installation
Kontest allows a multi-channel installation:
On Facebook with a inpage tab (participants stay on your page!)
On your website/blog (a simple iframe HTML code to copy and paste)
On mobile phones or tablets (the contest is optimized for mobile devices and we provide you a QRCode).
However, you can't access the contest on Facebook from a mobile phone.
▶ Export your contest
Once you have finished creating your contest, you need to pay the invoice. Afterwards, just go on the "Launch" tab and validate your contest: it will give you access to the "Export" page. From there you can simply install your contest on your Facebook fanpage, your website, a blog and also get the QRcode to use it on your mobile phone. Our contests use HTML5 & CSS3, technologies allowing an easy installation and use on every device/platform.
▶ Install your contest on Facebook
Once your contest is paid and validated. You can access the export page by clicking on "Installation" on the Kontest admin. There you can choose the name of the contest tab on Facebook and enable the "landing tab" option (people who are not fan of the page will see this tab first). Just click on install, choose the page you want it on. Now you must be able to see the contest on your fanpage. Quick, isn't it?
▶ Optimize your design for Facebook
For a contest on Facebook you need to use a 520px*1000px background. Sometimes, your prizes list or your form is longer than this size. The height of you participation widget change according to its content. That’s why we recommend not to insert important information or a logo in the footer, it could be cut off.

▶ Replace the contest on your fanpage
You want to change the contest on your fanpage? Just click on "Replace" on the Kontest admin page. The old contest will be replaced by the one you just created on your facebook page. It didn't work? Try this: first, go on your Facebook fanpage, click on "Edit the page", go to the apps tab, delete Promotion by clicking on the cross, then go back on your Kontest admin page and click on "Install my contest on Facebook".
▶ Participation limit
The Kontest platform allows 1 participation by email address for all the duration of the contest. If you use the periodic contest, then people are allowed to use the same email address for each sub-period. This system helps to avoid cheating (automatic participations bots for instance).
▶ Winners drawing
Get the list of winners at the end of your contest (quizzes, sweepstake, poll, music quiz, photo contest) or during your contest (instant win). The platform automatically draw the gifts to randomly selected people by taking into account the correct answers if it is a quiz and the additional chances to win gained through email sharing. You can get the contact informations of the winners by downloading the list in a CSV file on the platform. This file also includes a list of subwinners in case the original winners don’t answer your emails or calls.
Sweepstake or Poll: Winners are selected among all the participants.
Quiz or Music Quiz: In order to win, entrants must correctly answer all the questions and then be randomly selected from all candidates who ticked the right answers.
Instant win: After completing the entry form, participants discover instantly if they have won or not.
Photo contest: You can call for public votes or let a jury choose the best participation.
